Maneater, a 2020 RPG, often described as the mixture of JAWS and Grand theft auto. Tripwire interactive developed the game and Deep Silver published it in May 2020 via multiple platforms including the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Since then, it has come to the PS5, Nintendo Switch, and the Xbox Series X/S.
Metacritic a game reviewing website rated the game a 70 on PC and a 71 on Xbox One, while the Xbox Series X haven’t been rated yet. Although the game scored low on PC and Xbox one, it did nothing to stop it rising from the ranks of commercial success. The game was a success within the audience who claimed it to be the best JAWS- inspired shark game.
As per the Maneater review: This Shark lacks bite, by Comicbook, has accused the game to be enchanting for the first 10 minutes only. The game has nothing new to offer to the table.
“With each fleeting hour of gameplay as the player tears their way through wave after wave of fish, shark hunters, alligators, and a number of repetitive challenges that will bring nothing new to the table.” Reads the review.
