Just an hour ago, Sony revealed its latest next generation console PS5 along with the relevant accessories in a live announcement. The design features a sexy white and black colored combo console that looks exceptional. Sony revealed two different variants for PS5. One was based on the existing designs having an option to play using CDs and digital games while the other one lacked the option to play using CDs and has an option to play online games only making the design even more sleek.

It is powered by an eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU and a custom AMD RDNA 2-based GPU. Sony is also using a proprietary SSD solution to boost load times for games. The SSD will provide 825GB of storage and 5.5GB/s of performance. The PS5 is said to support up to 8K graphics

Sony releasing this console among this pandemic might be thought as an absurd decision but may turn out to be beneficial as more people are now opting to play games while staying home during the lockdowns imposed in different cities throughout the world.

Along with the console, the accessories and controllers are also based on black and white colored theme. The console is expected to be released between October 2020 to December 2020 but it is not yet confirmed. It will also feature VR support, so don’t worry if you were looking forward to playing some VR games on it.

The PS5 will also support more than 4,000 PlayStation 4 titles that exist today. “We’re expecting backward compatible titles will run at a boosted frequency on it so that they can benefit from higher or more stable frame rates and potentially higher resolutions,” said Sony
