PlayStation showcase is just around the corner and some interesting ‘news’ about the games are coming up. The event will run for about 40 minutes and will focus on games that are releasing “this holiday and beyond”
Now since the word ‘beyond’ is used in the statement, the showcase will most likely have games that will come out in 2022. And conveniently a promising leaker has tweeted that ‘God of War: Ragnarok’ or whatever that game will be called, will be showcased in the event.
PlayStation showcase – Leaked news from a reliable source
Shpeshal Nick is someone who has successfully leaked several stuff from PS recently, one of them being future PS Plus games. He also leaked that a big event will be held by Sony in September, which we can safely assume is the 2021 Playstation Showcase. He posted a screenshot of his conversation with a ‘source’. In the screenshot he asks if the new God of War will be there and the source only answers, ‘yes’.
However, this information should most likely be taken with a grain of salt as Shpeshal Nick has been wrong in the past when he tweeted that State of Play will have some type of God of War: Ragnarok gameplay which was obviously not there.
More credible info from God of War creator David Jaffe
David Jaffe also tweeted that some time in the coming week, PlayStation might uncover a game which would make people lose their minds. It’s impossible to say if the referred game is God of War but David Jaffe seems pretty excited about it so it’s something worth noticing.
All in all, leaks are just leaks and no one can confirm what’ll happen on the PlayStation Showcase until it happens on September 9. So don’t worry because even if you do miss the showcase, we’ll cover everything revealed right here. Meanwhile, check out Far Cry 6’s minimum requirements that favors even mid tier setups.
