PlayStation Plus officially releases the list of free games for every month. On 23 August 2021, the free games for September 2021 were supposedly leaked. While the rumors of the leak spread quicker than a fire in the jungle, many console fans were being fooled by scammers about free gamers. However, there was no truth in that news and all the rumors were turned down by the team.
How did the rumors about free PlayStation Plus games start?
Sony has made its official announcement that the games for September haven’t been revealed yet but a developer on one of the “leaked” games confirmed that the game would be free for the subscribers in September.
What’s Included then?
While we still don’t know what games PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS4 and PS5 getting next month, we can predict some titles. The prominent ones out of which will be F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, Godfall, World War Z, or Uncharted: Lost Legacy.
What we do know is that the lineup that won’t be in the free list would be The Medium from Bloober Team. This psychological horror game debuted back on January 28 is all set to make its debut on PS5 on September 3. At the time this date was announced, many considered it could be a PlayStation Plus freebie because this is typically the part of the month PlayStation Plus games go live.
While PlayStation Plus subscribers will need to wait a little bit longer to find out what free games they will be getting next month, it shouldn’t be much longer. The official announcement should come later this week, probably on Thursday, or at least this is what the history of the service suggests will happen.
