Nvidia held an official live stream known as the “GeForce Special Event Livestream” announcing all the details about the next-generation graphics card labelled under the Ampere architecture. Finally, all the information has been revealed about the latest series of graphics cards, specifically the RTX 3080, 3070, and 3090 cards. This line-up is RTX’s second-generation filled with the utmost features including the real-time ray tracing boosting the performance doubled than current RTX cards.

Nvidia Prices & Launch Dates

Team Nvidia has announced that the techies can give the RTX 3080, a more deep analysis after the official release on 17 September for $700 USD, and for the RTX 3070, the store launch date is in the month of October for the price of $500. Another extravagant graphic card, the RTX 3090, is stated to have the capability of delivering 8K resolution at 60 FPS performance, will be launching on 24 September, with a whopping starting price of $1500.

The fourth card of this line-up, RTX 3000 series isn’t available for preorders. Typically, when any GPUs lineup is introduced, it is often sold out during the pre-orders, but the extensive pricing range by Nvidia can be a hindrance.


The performance ratio of these graphic cards has taken Nvidia to another level of success. When comparing to other graphics cards of the same generation you can see a visible difference in performance. The RTX 3080 is claimed to be twice as swift and faster in performance than the RTX 2080. Depending on the situation of the game, the performance is expected to be increased with around 70% to 90%. 

The RTX 3070 is clearly the most cost-effective card outperforming the RTX 2080 Ti giving it in almost half price. The massively geared RTX 3090 is 50% faster than the Titan RTX card. 

Cooling System

Another amazing aspect of these latest RTX series is that they have a built-in cooling system having fans on both sides. This way these cards will be quieter and cooler than the 20-series cards.


These amazing next-gen graphic cards have superficial specifications. It has some extravagant dimensions with 3090 having the length of 12 inches requiring three slots. The power supply requirement for 3070 is a 650W PSU, whereas both the 3090 and 3080 require a 750W PSU. This entire lineup supports HDMI 2.1.
