Genshin Impact is about to get a new preview of the new content by this week’s end on July 9 at 8 AM ET/5 AM PT, announced by developer miHoYo. The developer has previously indicated which version will exactly be released, but it seems a little diabolical to not reveal the name outright. As per our calculations, the next version in line should be Version 1.7, given that the current Genshin Impact is version 1.6, but if it is as simple as this then why has the developer not announced the name yet?
The thought in progress suggests that developer miHoYo will directly jump to Genshin Impact Version 2.0. The explanation for this thought sounds quite reasonable. The fact that the new nation, Inazuma is also expected to release soon so it will make sense to directly skip towards Version 2.0.

It is expected that along with Inazuma, the new preview broadcast will also provide some information on previously revealed characters like the Cryo-attuned Kamisato Ayaka, the Anemo-attuned ninja Sayu, and the Pyro-attuned pyrotechnician Yoimiya. Information about the leaked character, Baal might also be available. Whatever the case, it will be all clear in 2 days.
As seen above, the new version of Genish Impact will be announced later this week on July 9. However, the current version of Genshin Impact is available, and free to play on PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. We are hopeful that the developer will also announce the release date for the game to arrive on Nintendo Switch in the broadcast.

The update, “Midsummer Island Adventure,” for current version 1.6 is also available now along with quests, characters, and systems. The latest character addition consists of Anemo-attuned samurai Kaedehara Kazuha. Apart from this, no new updates have been made.
We hope to see you after July 9.
