Season 7 update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection was recently announced by 343 Industries. The update consists of various features that true Halo fans would definitely enjoy. The most notable update is for Halo: Combat Evolved that adds new tools for modders. The fun part is that modders don’t need to own Halo: The Master Chief Collection to access those tools, in fact, anyone who is a steam user can access the update in the “Tools” section.
The tweet below offers more information.
A little twist includes the fact that the tools released as part of the latest update are the same as those offered in Halo: Custom Edition, which was launched back in 2004 for Gearbox Software. Regardless, these releases have captured a huge amount of followers and it will be exciting to see whether modders use these tools, now they are available once more.
These mod tools are a perfect distraction to keep Halo fans busy as they patiently wait for the release of Halo Infinite. The game was initially supposed to launch alongside Xbox series X, but it was pushed back by 343 Industries since it needed more development time. Although a set release date for Halo Infinite isn’t announced yet, the game is expected to release this holiday season.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is now exclusively available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
