Far Cry is Ubisoft’s biggest creation and franchise. As people desperately wait for Far Cry 6 to release, after its announcement in E3 2021, rumors are surrounding the sequel of the game. It will be years until Far Cry 7 will eventually be announced publicly, but we are sure that the game will be phenomenal and exquisitely different from its prequel.
Jason Schreier, a notable video game reporter, recently talked about the game series after its prominent appearance in E3 2021, in the latest episode of Triple Click Podcast. He stated about hearing a brief murmur hinting that Ubisoft will be going in a different direction altogether where the sequel of the franchise is concerned. He didn’t state much after that, leaving us with only a whisper of the actual gossip but it seems like Ubisoft is trying to freshen things up.
Recently, Ubisoft has Kept the franchise quite formulaic and commercial. With every new release of the game, it seems its only purpose is to create a certain amount of totally deserved hype along with some huge amount profit but nothing different, intriguing, and extraordinarily exceptional has come our way since Far Cry 3. It seems like Ubisoft is in desperate need to work on their creative team of developers.
If, as per our hopes, the sequel of the game ends up being madly different from all its prequel, then this is something we don’t know about for sure. We hope that news about the franchise’s future will be made public sometime after the release of Far Cry 6. The upcoming game is expected to launch on October 7 on platforms such as Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
