The wait is almost over as Cyberpunk 2077 is almost out after a short delay. This potential game of the year has been teased for almost 5 years and being delayed due to technical issues but finally this Sci-Fi, neo noir open world game is set to hit the stores in November this year. Keeping in mind CD PROJEKT Red’s most renowned game Witcher 3, we can expect this one to be a big hit as the gameplay and trailer has had a very positive response by the gaming community overall.

Here’s the official statement regarding the delay ,”We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done. Night City is massive – full of stories, content, and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish play testing, fixing and polishing.“

In Cyberpunk 2077, we the protagonist come to this crime riddled city in California called Night City with the goal of earning respect from the the crime lords and to play in the big leagues. Like Witcher 3, we can develop our characters’ arc by making our own decisions in the game and in the cut scenes which will impact the story line. From the E3 2019 convention, Johnny silver will be most likely our protagonists ally who is voiced and acted by Keanu Reeves, who will be our guide through the story joined by a Gun-for-Hire Jackie who is seen in the 2020 trailer.

Cyberpunk is also releasing an anime in 2022 in collaboration with Netflix known as Cyberpunk Edgerunners which will have a completely different story.
Judging from the gameplay we can assume that the game has the option to switch the camera look. We see some gun animations in the first person perspective whereas we see the vehicles from third person view. The combat style looks intriguing and a bit improved from the E3 trailer. V’s gunfights are also looking better as well as the vehicle mechanics. Here are some special upgrades we can expect.
- A Kiroshi Optical Implant that lets you zoom in on objects and also analyze the environment, seeing enemy levels and getting detailed information about them.
- A Subdermal Grip which increases gun damage.
- An implant that let V ricochet bullets around corners to kill enemies behind cover.
- Mantis-like sword arms.
- Remote control robots.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a multiplayer which they have been teasing in the previous posts and trailers for a long time, the CEO Adam Kiciński himself stated that they aimed the game to be a long term success. The multiplayer will also come with free DLCs.
Unlike Witcher 3, this title will allow you to fully customize your character from pubic hair to tattoos and unique hairstyles. We can create our unique character without the boundaries of Gender. There seems to be no changes available for our bone structure but will be able to change all the other features like hair colour, skin colour, beard styles and outfits.
