Microsoft keeps making its Game Pass membership better and better. During Gamecom 2021, Microsoft announced that cloud gaming will be making its way to both Xbox Series X and S along with the previous gen console Xbox One.
Game Pass Ultimate members will have access to more than 100 games to stream on the cloud. This could bring a ton of benefits. Nowadays, an average game takes about 20-30 GB of storage which means on a slow speed internet, it could take days before the player gets to play the game. Cloud gaming will help users ‘bypass’ this download time and get right into action
Cloud Gaming brings more games and better performance
Another huge benefit cloud gaming will offer is that it can run current-gen games, exclusive to the Xbox Series X and S, on the last-gen Xbox one. With a good enough connection, players will be able to enjoy their games with support up to 1080p and 60 fps. This would mean in theory, owners of Xbox one can play the latest games more smoothly over the cloud in comparison to running them natively on the console.
