Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War new season has been delayed. As per a tweet, the new season of Call of Duty: Warzone, that is, season 5 will release now on August 12th at 9 p.m. PT.
Activation, the publisher of Call of Duty: Warzone, took to Twitter to announce the news of the delay in a strange fashion. Instead of saying that season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone has been delayed, the publisher framed it as “an extra day to unlock tier 100.” Technically, there is no fault in the statement, and some would agree that it is an interesting way to frame it, but at the end of the day, it’s a delay. Nevertheless, fans will just have to wait a bit longer for Season 5!
The Tweet from Activision is embedded below.
An activation spokesperson said that the delay is because of some testing issues seen earlier this week. Although fans are not happy about the news, they will manage because it’s better to have a smooth-running game than to have technical bumps that will destroy their gaming experience. In the meantime, as the tweet above suggested unlock tier 100.
