Call of Duty: Vanguard might be getting a new map featuring zombies, and this isn’t all that surprising given that all of the call of duty franchise has lived the tradition. According to a news release, Call of Duty: Vanguard’s new map, featuring zombies, will be called “War of the Dead”.
The news was leaked by a prominent Twitter account, which had a strong track record, @TheMW2Ghost. The name is a throwback to the works of George Romero, and it seems like it would be a nice fit for Call of Duty: Vanguard’s World War II setting!
Just like any other rumor, you are requested to take this news with a grain of salt until there is official confirmation from Activision or Treyarch. For those who don’t know, Treyarch is the branch of Call of Duty: Vanguard’s war of dead developers. As such, Vanguard’s Zombies mode will continue the Dark Aether storyline established in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
As we all know, Call of Duty: Vanguard is the next title in Activision’s long-running series. The game is set in World War II, and will even feature some maps that first appeared back in Call of Duty: World at War.
Regardless of the leak, there has been little to no information about the game’s zombies map, but with Call of duty: Vanguard releasing on November 5th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, we’d say there will be news about the zombie map pretty soon.
