Battlefield 2042 has some interesting and equally vague official partners to go on, announced by Electronic Media and DICE. The official partners include some interesting companies with specific integrations along with some vague partnerships too. For instance, Battlefield 2042 has a Polaris as an official off-road vehicle partner, and players will have access to and the ability to operate authentic Polaris vehicles in the game. Furthermore, Xbox series XlS are labeled as the “official consoles of Battlefield 2042”, and we are still trying to contemplate what it means.

As per the rumors, Xbox Game Pass is expected to add a major third-party first-person shooter later this year, and this might be the reason for making Xbox the official partner rather than PlayStation. Having said that, the possibility for choosing PlayStation was minuscule as it is already working with the Call of Duty franchise, and with the new COD coming later this year there was no chance.

The new rumor makes sense, assuming there is a nugget of truth to it because the type of content activity available via Xbox series XlS is definitely more than what PlayStation is offering. Well, it seems, what tilted the scales in favor of Xbox is probably the fact that Xbox Game Pass has been pushed quite hard lately by the Xbox franchise.
